1. Eligibility
- Participants must be 18 years of age or older to purchase raffle tickets or claim a prize.
- Tickets may be purchased by residents of Virginia and visitors physically located in Virginia at the time of purchase.
- Members of the Save Festival Halle Committee may purchase tickets but are not involved in the drawing process.
2. Ticket Sales
- Tickets are sold exclusively through the Festival Halle 50/50 Raffle page hosted on Zeffy, a secure nonprofit platform.
- Ticket prices are:
- $5 — 1 ticket
- $10 — 6 tickets
- $20 — 15 tickets
- $50 — 40 tickets
- $100 — 105 tickets (Super Supporter Tier)
- All ticket sales are final. No refunds will be issued.
3. Drawing Details
- The drawing will take place on August 3 at 12:00 PM at the Reedville Fishermen’s Museum Pavilion.
- The winner will be selected by a random drawing of a unique number issued by the Zeffy purchase system and delivered by email to each purchaser.
- The winner does not need to be present to win.
- The Save Festival Halle Committee will contact the winner using the email or phone number provided at purchase.
4. Prize Distribution
- This is a 50/50 raffle.
- 50% of total ticket revenue will be awarded to the winner.
- 50% will support the restoration and reopening of historic Festival Halle.
- The prize amount depends on total ticket sales and will be announced at the drawing.
5. Claiming the Prize
- The winner must claim the prize within 30 days of notification.
- If the prize is not claimed within 30 days, the Save Festival Halle Committee may:
- Conduct a new drawing, or
- Retain the funds for Festival Halle’s restoration, as permitted by Virginia charitable gaming rules.
- A valid photo ID is required to claim the prize.
6. Compliance & Oversight
- This raffle is conducted by the Greater Reedville Association a nonprofit community organization in Reedville, Virginia.
- The raffle complies with the Virginia Charitable Gaming Statutes and Regulations applicable to nonprofit raffles.
- The Committee reserves the right to modify, suspend, or cancel the raffle if required by law or unforeseen circumstances.
7. Tax Information
- Raffle winnings are not tax‑deductible.
- The winner is responsible for any federal or state taxes associated with the prize.
- The Winner of prizes totaling $600 or more must complete IRS Form W‑9 before receiving payment. Festival Halle will issue IRS Form 1099‑MISC as required by federal law.
- Donations made separately to Festival Halle may be tax‑deductible depending on individual circumstances.
8. Privacy & Data Use
- Personal information collected during ticket purchase is used solely for raffle administration and Greater Reedville Association communications.
- Information will not be sold or shared with third parties.
